About

As a former teacher and cheerleading coach at Tates Creek High School, I was responsible for raising nearly $50,000 a year to ensure that all kids could afford to cheer, compete and travel. Fast forward ten years and I am now a mother of four children, and the VP of Fundraising at Garden Springs Elementary, my children’s school. Throughout my fundraising endeavors, I learned to despise selling cookies, candles, gift wrap, etc. The time invested and the terrible percentage earned was just not worth it.

Thus, Sprout was born.

WHAT IS A
SPROUT DAY?

A Sprout Day is a health and wellness day for all students, filled with 8-10 stations that may include: Gymnastics, Archery, Dance, Tennis, Taekwondo and a variety of other local businesses that provide activities for children.

The students rotate these stations by class and learn about the benefits of each activity through HANDS ON fun. The day ends with a pep rally where we distribute prizes and celebrate the money your school has raised!

Sprout’s priority is for your event to be fun, painless and profitable! We will manage every detail, from presenting information at the faculty meeting, to feeding your staff a first class lunch!

How is Money Raised?

For two weeks leading up to the event, students are asked to collect pledges from their family, friends, etc.  for the Sprout Day. As a school, we also strive for corporate sponsorships. For those two weeks, we track the money raised and offer incentives for the highest class, highest raised pledges from teachers, etc.

Unlike any other fundraiser, we do ALL of the work, and your school gets 70% of the profit. Standard corporate school fundraisers only donate a mere thirty cents on the dollar to the school.
